The Corporation
The Dieri Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (ICN 3890) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC) representing the Dieri People. We are entrusted with the administration and management of lands and waters on behalf of our People, ensuring the preservation and protection of Dieri Country and Culture.
Our Role
Our role is to uphold and enforce Native Title rights, manage significant cultural and environmental assets, and create opportunities for our community’s economic and cultural growth.
As the governing body for The Dieri Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, we are dedicated to working closely with our Traditional Owners, local communities, and key stakeholders. We strive to be the voice of the Dieri people, advocating for our rights, upholding cultural traditions, and safeguarding our lands.
At the Dieri Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, we are led by a group of 12 dedicated Board members from the Dieri community. Our Board are elected Dieri Members to Directors from the Corporations Dieri members and each director plays an important role in making sure that our community’s voice is heard in all the decisions we make.
The Board helps guide the work we do, ensuring it’s in line with our cultural values and focused on the long-term wellbeing of Dieri people and country.
The Board is responsible for guiding the Corporation’s activities and ensuring everything we do stays true to our culture and traditions, while also helping the corporation grow in new ways. The members of the Board are chosen by the community to represent the interests of all Dieri Members.
Our staff work under the guidance of the Board, and each team member plays a crucial role in delivering our projects and member services. Staff roles include Chief Executive Officer, Office Manager, Finance Manager, Cultural Heritage Project Officer, Executive Assistant, Administration Officers and casual heritage and environment officers.
We work closely with our partners and stakeholders, while staying deeply connected to the Dieri community to ensure that everything we do respects our cultural protocols and serves the needs of our people.

The Dieri Lands
The Dieri lands are situated in the far north east of South Australia and lie between Katithunda – Lake Eyre in the west and Moomba in the east. They cover Mumpy (Murnpeowie Station) in the south and up to Clifton Hills station in the North.
The Corporation represents the Dieri People who are acknowledged as having a Dieri ancestry and identify as Dieri People and are acknowledged by other Dieri People as Dieri.
The Corporation was successful in obtaining three Native Title Rights in this area, and The Dieri being acknowledged as the Traditional owners of their land.
There are approx. 1,500 registered Dieri Members whom live throughout South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. The Dieri had disbursed during the earlier years when cleansing of the land had been introduced by the earlier settlers and South Australia Police, which was actually recorded by the Europeans.
Our History
Even before the passing of the Native Title Act, the Dieri People were active in protecting their land.
