DIERI OPERATIONS REPORT

The overall goals of Dieri Operations committee are to look for its best opportunity to develop wealth by investment, regardless of where it is, to ensure the Corporation exists long term, provides income to its social services in the future, including providing opportunities to return to country, particularly when royalties diminish. The committee’s six identified core priorities are as follows:

  1. Focus on employment and training and education of members;
  2. Managing and protecting country and getting back to country;
  3. Review and reduce social services for members;
  4. Economic development and business development;
  5. Cultural and language revitalisation; and
  6. Review how the Corporation does business from a strategic corporate and business planning perspective, with a focus on taking back control.

DAC OFFICE

The DAC Office is in the final stages of being completed and Staff will move into the new office space by Mid – February.

This is just one of the new changes for The Dieri Aboriginal Corporation this Year.

KIDS AT AGM

It has been a very major issue of kids attending AGM’s and left to run wild at their own free will. This has caused a lot of disruption and we have been asked to do a Survey if kids should be at the AGM, so if you are in the office or you are calling about something please tell staff Yes or No if you think kids should attend an AGM.
